What's on in and around Edinburgh this March?
March, when it almost feels like Spring but the hilltops are still dusted with a sprinkling of snow.
Stay at Eastside this month as a lovely cosy cottage treat for mum on Mothers' Day. Spoil her with trips into Edinburgh, a pampering at a local spa, or a fabulous supper in your country cottage kitchen with a roaring fire.

Dine out somewhere special
The Witchery and its historic settling at the top of the Royal Mile takes you back in time, expect opulent surroundings, a Scottish themed menu and incredible wine list.
The Outsider has the most spectacular views over the Grassmarket to the Castle - perfect for lunch or supper.
The super cool and newly opened Brown's of Leith offers a mix of food and drink kiosks within a buzzing warehouse setting.
Hike over the hills to the Free Company, our fellow farmers and wonderful farm to fork eatery.
If you’re going to blow the budget in style head to Lyla where Stuart Ralston will prepare you 10 delicate-but-dazzling seafood-focused courses from the open kitchen.
Tom Kitchin's Michelin starred The Kitchin is well worth a trip to Leith or its 'pub grub' sister restaurant The Scran & Scallie comes highly recommended too.
Or for something closer to home? Why not try the riverside Papermill in Lasswade or dine in with some delicious home made meals from COOK.
Treats
For sweet treats run don't walk to the popular Lannan bakery. A stockbridge institution with queues out the door for their 'as delicious as they are photogenic' offerings. Changing seasonally the Lannan Jaffa cake and custard slices are out of this world.
Locally grown flowers
If you would like a locally grown bouquet please let us know and we can have this waiting on your arrival. The large bouquets are made up by Pentland Flowers and grown just a mile away. Passionately believing in the grown not flown philosophy the flowers are seasonal, local and really special.
